This stunning view clearly shows the sleek lines of this great Douglas design. Nice view on the disused airbase Caversham with in the distance Perth International. Caversham, also known as Middle Swan Airfield was constructed during World War II as a parent aerodrome for the United States Fleet Air Arm of the 7th Fleet.

Can't believe it is now the last half of Leg 16 of Gaar 2009. Made a nice precision rate 4 turn over Laverton. Another GAAR participant below? I guess it's time to start planning my trip home to Winnipeg.

leg 17 after changing a gasket in the oil system this might be ok by now so we start up again dirction Kalgoorlie and after a bumpy cruise with crosswinds on final we touch down at YPKG with the huge mining area in the background.... this scenery catches my eyes more than the actual timing...oops, missed nearly a second ;-)

One that almost got forgotten in the packing for UK. Flypast at Pearce. In the real world I spent a large part of my teenage years there. Happy memories

P-38 on the way to Gibb River... and to Southern Cross. Apache on final at Jandakot. I'm getting better at cross wind landings. But I'm still a bit to the right. One more flight to go in the P-38.
