Sure looks like fun , I am always looking at the storm prediction center sight ,and national weather service radar loop . then go to real weather updated and fly a T-28 into the fronts looking for the worst of it ,usually disappointed with what Microsoft Fs9 gives me. best so far yesturday in Missouri, a tower that topped out at 30,000 but still no moderate turbulance or rain-ice when penetrated..

Thanks to all contestants , it always make me surprised to see entries from the far corners of the world .. again Bluegrass , Andrew , and the OZ division made the flights interesting , Now back to work , Sim flying the Alaska Division ,then seeing if I can do as much poor navigation over where ever Muttley's Rally takes me ..Might have to take a hop over the Bearing Straights to see what Holiday Camp Capt. Zlogg is visiting ..Great fun.

Wonder if Geaorge "borrowed" that Polar Bear from one of Capt,Zlogg's Homeland Resorts ? Might have thought it was a drinking partner after a few hits from the Kettel..

simon , Mustang will work ok . Just be ready to stand on the breaks ,getting stopped on the gravel strips and make sure you have enough speed before you lift off , the Horse has been known to roll over on the rider.. the Fabric an tube Kites I am flying are really affected by winds aloft , past events I have always flown at least 1 warbird ..usually carrier based ,strong gear ,short field ability..

I figure that I am on my own ,some of those mountain routes if you stay at 4,500 ft. you better be pulling a plow or hearding sheep ..also if you have to stay with in Vfr minimums ,you will be going higher or lower , then winds aloft may be a choice .. I think the test flight altitude is to establish a base to compaire each TYPE of aircraft for the target times.. of course I never finish better than second , I partake of too much of Capt.Zloogs wonderfull kettle products and it effects my navigation skill somewhat..

What you have to do simon is fly aircraft of lower preformance , Spitfires and Mustangs are a handfull. Me I chose slower ,tried a P-38 ,and a Tiger Cat, once and found out I did not have time to drink my thermos of coffie with a liitle touch of stimulants, to fight off the cold you know..
