I am actually finding the P38 to be an easier aircraft then I thought it would be to fly in the rally. Andrew of course is making me as well as the rest of us sweat a bit. I just finished flight four tonight and never did see much of the island we were supposed to land on. Getting ready for number five and the fireworks afterwards. Hope they are as good as the ones I set off when working for my other employer in Winnipeg. I am going to try to submit my own screenshots if I can remember my passwords and also remember to actually save a few aproaches / departures.

FS9 Users, Here is my updated GAAR2013 Improvements package. It includes all original airports plus Queenstown (YQNS), Launceton (YMLT), Smithton (YSMI), and King Island (YKII). Time for me to fly on! Cheers, CP Attachments:

Hello Bill Von Sennet, in one of your screenshots GAAR 2013 Cockpitview DC-3 (screenshots/gaar05-001-08.jpg) I have seen a cool instrument, that shows “Fuelflow, Groundspeed etc..” what kind of Gauge is it, and from where can I get it? Cheers Urs Hug

Chris. Like so many aviation terms, we have borrowed from the French. HN is Heurs Nuit (hours of darkness) as opposed to HJ Heurs Jour (Hours of daylight)

Bon Jour Monsieur Pierre. et merci,It was more heures noir for me. Couldn't see a thing. I knew the rwy started just to the right of that little bay. I flew over it twice and couldn't see it Chris

Urs, there has been around since the ark dried out a round instrument called Cherokee6 FuelStatus. Current fuel burn, fuel consumed, fuel remaining, Fuel time remaining, Range, TAS and GS are all there, a really nice one, holler if you want it. I envy you your beautiful Luscombe, viel Spaß, Beste Wünsche, Ed

In both my standard default installs of FS9 and FSX, which I use for planning, RWY 09 /27 at YCBG has runway lights. HN, Sunset to Sunrise, in the Special Comments column of the Flight Briefing for Flight Leg 5, is only mentioned in relation to and only pertains to circuits at YSTH and relates to restrictions during the time of sunset to sunrise. Hello Ed, thanks for support. I currently work on a "Aeronca Sedan" developed with FSDS.. a time consuming process! So I already look around for instruments. Cheers Urs

Hi Chris. Yes it was dark. I was going for a landing on 09, and accepting the crosswind, when I saw there were lights on 14. I set up for right base, but at four miles they turned the lights out!! I decided to continue, and just (!) managed to see enough in the dusk to land. One thing I'll make a point of next year: use an aircraft with decent landing lights. How this thing got certified for night ops is beyond be (but I love her really).
