Touch and go RW36 YPFT Polo Flat I navigated to within 4nm using the COM NDB but couldn't see the airport. Had to consult the GPS Nearest page to find the airport.(: Lake Eucumbene west of Cooma Entering downwind for RW6 at YCRG Corryong Crosswind approach for RW3 YMER Merimbula Touch down (1 wheel).

Time for Leg 1 of the Rally! Joan the Tiger Moth isn't too fond of CW takeoffs, but she made it just the same. Couldn't resist mate! She was just beggin! I spy with my little eye a certain airport. Can you name it? Final on RWY 5 to Moruya A fair touchdown And...done! Overall an enjoyable flight, but my girl is just getting started!

BTW, is there a way you can zoom out in the chase view in FS9?

Chris,
You should be able to use the + and - keys in FSX. In FS9 the mouse scroll wheel does the same. I can never remember which mouse direction does which.

leg3 just a few sandwiches and beer cans later we started up again, leaving some new friends back at Merimbula ( beaver pilot ) and aiming to our target of today: Orbost,...expecting a sunset - maybe.... would have been nice here....Aussie land is great think we get lucky referring to the sunset ahead....lets see everything's cool running WP 1 touch and go with slightly tailwind.... ;-) tailwind spares some fuel,....not bad for my thisty bird.... ;D towards WP2 ....... a dream of a flight WP2 turning west unbelievably scenic ..... lucky me to have my Ray Bans with me downwind at Orbost,....just perfect timing with the sunset on long final all systems clear for landing gear down,on final and touch down within seconds, timing just perfect, our heart races... isn't it ironic,....just overshot 0,05 seconds,.....the brakes had some fading due to the sharp landing in Merimbula, due to the stuck aircraft on the runway( anyone had this befor? )....this would have been perfect...... but whats up? lets have a drink with Urs and the other fellows coming in! my bird will have a "drink" too,....think not a beer ;)and lets prepare barbecue for you guys,.....

my bird will have a "drink" too,....think not a beer Did you know that in Europe, alcohol was initially used in avgas as an "anti-knock agent" for increased engine performance? Some avgas variations still use this, so in a way, your bird may be having a beer after all!

A short treatment in the beauty parlour - she needs some fresh stuff to make feel her good.. .. then off we go for leg #3 Following the coast and 180 degree inbound course to MCO VOR 117.5 A short twilight.. .. with a "touch & go" at Mallacootas active runway. Point Hicks lighthouse was built on the point in 1887/8 and commenced operation in 1890. With 37 metres, it is the tallest lighthouse on Australia's mainland. Its light characteristic is a double white flash every ten seconds, emitted from a focal plane height of 56 metres above sea level. A night landing at destination - hope not for grazing kangaroo's.. Well, soon "Stubby o'clock". Hope jazzthom left some!!

hey Urs! can't wait to have our nightly baerbecue with you and our afterparty in the fuselage of my bird, cause its space enough in the cargoroom for a dozen of persons and some didgeridoo players....
btw: I passed the lighthouse in the red sunlight of the beautiful upcoming sunset and was impressed about the height of it, but didn't know it is the tallest here.... and: you have a great scenery on your pc!
